About Me:
Hi! My name is Brandi Speirs and I am a Texas state certified teacher. I hold a Texas EC-4 Generalist Certification, EC-4 English as a Second Language Generalist Certification, and a EC-12 Special Education Certification. I have over five years formal teaching experience including the traditional "brick and mortar" public schools as well as the virtual school setting. I have beent teaching all content areas 3rd through 8th grade in the virtual school setting since December 2008. From January 2006 to December 2008 I taught 2nd and 4th grade in the traditional school setting. I have also had the pleasure of coaching 2nd and 3rd grade UIL in the areas of Creative Writing and Story Telling. My students, from Special Education to Gifted/Talented have always had high success rates with state assessements and experienced tremendous growth throughout their time spent working with me.
I would love to help your student become more successful and to reach their maximum educational potential. Individual summer tutoring sessions are available in all content areas for students who will be in grades 2-8 for the 2011-2012 school year.
